HT Genetic Screen Contract Research Services

Cellecta specializes in contract research and product development for academic and industrial customers. Our main goal is to develop advanced high-throughput (HT) genetic screen technologies and apply them to the discovery and functional characterization of novel therapeutic targets and drugs. HT RNAi Screens with Pooled Lentiviral shRNA Libraries
Using stable gene suppression on a large-scale for loss-of-function screens, we help you identify drug targets, diagnostic markers, cancer-related genes, and more. We can provide the entire service from start to finish, or you can choose the tasks you would like us to perform.

Custom Pooled Lentiviral Bar-Coded shRNA Libraries
Custom Pooled Lentiviral shRNA Libraries targeting any set of genes will be designed and constructed in any shRNA, mir30-based, or microRNA lentivector with your choice of tet-regulation, reporter, and promoters. Libraries are bar-coded for digital expression profiling by Illumina HT Sequencing.

Custom Arrayed Lentiviral shRNA Constructs  New
Validated or Non-validated custom shRNA constructs can be constructed using either your vector or Cellecta's, with your choice of tet-regulation, reporter, and promoters. Constructs can optionally be bar-coded for use in pooled shRNA libraries.

Reporter Cell Lines and Technology Development for RNAi Screens
Custom stable pathway-specific reporter cell lines can be used in RNAi screens as a means of selection.

Stable Overexpression and Knockdown Cell Lines
Using lentiviral technology, custom stable cell lines can be generated with GFP, RFP, Puromycin-resistance, or other selection marker.

HT Screening for Bioactive Peptides
Cell-based screens with pooled peptide effector libraries are a revolutionary, cost-effective alternative to existing small molecule drug library screens, and they can even be performed by small research groups for HTS of lead peptide compounds.

Technical Support for designing, performing, and analyzing Genetic Screens with Pooled shRNA Libraries

By working on a limited number of large projects at any given time, our scientists have more time to work closely with each client to ensure effective communication and planning. Our scientists’ extensive experience in the fields of RNAi and lentiviral technology is a result of many years of successful R&D and product development at Clontech Laboratories (now part of Takara Bio). Cellecta’s team of scientists was the first research group to develop and launch genome-wide pooled lentiviral shRNA libraries with complexities of up to 200,000 shRNAs in 2004-2005.

You can think of our team as an extension of your research group, remotely-based experts hired to do a specific task that may not be feasible as an internal project.
